Rambling #6

I love the book of Ezra. We want to rebuild Fort Wayne as he rebuilt Jerusalem.

Ezra 1: 2-4 (adapted)

All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given us.

Fort Wayne as a city of refuge; Psalm 2:8 - Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession; As you pray for the nations, I will give you the city.

And He has commanded us to build Him a house at Jerusalem (Fort Wayne) which is in Judah (Northeast Indiana).

We have been commanded; this is not a request or a favor; we're not being asked nicely; we're being told what to do. My house shall be called a House of Prayer... The House of Prayer is where it will begin.

Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem (Fort Wayne) which is in Judah (Northeast Indiana), and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (He is God) in Jerusalem (Fort Wayne).

Who are you? Where are you? The Lord is calling you out of your circumstance into His work in this hour.

And whoever is left in any place where my people dwell, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock...

This is God's promise of provision for His servants who faithfully walk out in His commandment.

... Besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem (Fort Wayne).

This is God's promise of provision for His House of Prayer, even beyond His provision for his people.
